  • Cametrick A. Nesmith

    Nesmith Design Group started in 2008 with Cametrick as the firm’s Principal Architect.Before beginning private practice, he enjoyed a professional association with several prestigious architectural firms in DC and Maryland Cametrick is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Organization of Minority Architects. He is licensed to practice in DC, Maryland and Virginian and has taught various courses in Architecture, Planning and Design at ITT Technical Institute to include General intro to Architecture and Desgin, CAD/Rivet basic introduction and intermediate principles, and other course studies. Cametrick is a proud graduate of Howard University’s School of Architecture and Planning.

  • Christopher Flack

    Cris serves as Chief Solution Officer for the Nesmith Design Group and brings over 25 years of experience in the architectural design and construction market place. Previously, Cris served as Founder and Principal of Flack Ventures, a development consultation firm focused on project management and permit acquisition for commercial and residential development projects in the DMV. Cris began his development career as a member of the Development Ambassador Program, DCRA and Special Assistant to the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, DC Government. Cris is also a graduate of Howard University with a BA and MA in Economics and a graduate of the Center for Excellence, George Washington University, MA Public Management.

  • Delicia Gunn

    Delicia Gunn is Founder & CEO of Indigo Engineered. Gunn's HEMPSULATION® product is disrupting the construction industry as the choice natural, negative carbon footprint building insulation. Delicia earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at American University.

  • Danaya Gaines

    Danaya Gaines is the first of our Junior Architects to join the BCYADC. She excelled at the top of her class and graduated (Magna Cum Laude) from Morgan State University and is currently pursuing her masters degree at Cornell University. After a brief interview and consultation with BCYADC leadership, Ms. Gaines was referred to and subsequently hired by one of our partners, Michael Graves -PGN Architects, Washington DC. BCYADC also approached Danaya and retained her to participate as part-time consultant to Lead REVIT trainer for our inaugural Cohort. During this process, BCYADC encouraged Danaya to continue in her application process to graduate programs which then she was accepted into 11 prestigious architectural universities. Danaya’s substantial knowledge and application of the REVIT software and ability to teach the high school students as both teacher and mentor were invaluable to the BCYADC Inaugural Program success.

  • Jule M. Byrd

    Jule M. Byrd is an exceptional intern at the Baltimore City Youth Architectural Design Collaborative (BCYADC). With two years of dedication and hard work, Jule has become an integral part of our team. Currently a senior at Baltimore Design School, she is deeply passionate about architecture and plans to pursue it in college. In addition to her role at BCYADC, Jule is also involved with STEMcx as an architectural intern, where she collaborates closely with architecture firms and collaboratives during the summer. For Jule to only be a senior in high school, she has an immense amount of expertise and experience in BIM Softwares such as REVIT, AutoCAD, Rhino, and SketchUp. The sky is the limit for Jule and she is destined for greatness. She has a bright future ahead of her. Her commitment and enthusiasm make her a valuable asset to our organization.

  • Ashley Mercadal

    Ashley Mercadal is a senior at Morgan State University studying architecture & environmental design. She has participated in a few volunteer opportunities for the local AIA, as well as doing a mentorship program at the Baltimore Design School. She is from New Orleans, LA, and loves medieval and eco-brutalist architecture. With a passion for Architectural Visualization, Ashley has a profound amount of skills in rendering software.
