THE PIPELINE

BCYADC is intended to enrich the pipeline to college and prepare students to enter top flight, four year architectural programs.

BCYADC will ensure that our students are properly introduced to:

• the field of Architecture

• the legacies built inherent to the field

• the benefits of the profession

• assist in building a solid foundation of math, science and technology skills required to achieve success.

BCYADC will also focus on relationship building with local Historically Black Colleges and Universities, community colleges, associations and other key stakeholders to develop a pipeline of success for the youth that we serve and to promote equal access and opportunity to the Architectural Design field.

This curriculum will allow students to: draw drafting symbols, locate m/e/p locations and fixtures, create a floor plan, and print the final project and will begin to develop a portfolio template and inventory to be developed further in the future.
